Join Hugging Face as a hands-on leader in data engineering, focusing on MongoDB architecture, best practices, and performance optimization.
You will collaborate with teams to design MongoDB architecture, implement changes to the data access layer, promote best practices, troubleshoot performance issues, and empower developers with documentation and automation.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing MongoDB sharding in a production environment
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Typescript/Node.js preferred)
- Deep understanding of MongoDB internals, including aggregation framework, storage engines, indexing, and replication
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi
- Experience with running MongoDB in Atlas
- Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch)
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects
