Short answer
JobGPT tailors your resume and writes a personalized cover letter for every application it submits, with no extra step from you. AIApply says it does the same, Simplify Autopilot can tailor per job (beta, some Simplify+ members), and the Jobright Agent sends a tailored resume after you click once per job.
Tools that do not tailor automatically: Teal gives you keyword matching and AI bullet suggestions that you apply yourself, LoopCV lets you A/B test a few fixed resume versions, and LazyApply uses saved resume profiles. Sonara does not document per-job tailoring.

| LazyApply | Not documented | Autofills applications “based on your information” using saved resume profiles | 1, 5 or 20 resume profiles by plan | $99 to $999/year |
| Simplify Copilot | No (you apply suggestions) | AI suggestions to tailor your resume to a job description; you edit and submit | AI tailoring is a Simplify+ feature | Free; Simplify+ reported at about $39.99/mo |
| Simplify Autopilot | Yes, if you ask it to | “Tailors your resume and writes a cover letter if you asked it to,” then submits | Beta, subset of Simplify+ members; weekly allowance | Simplify+ (no public pricing page) |

| LoopCV | No | Upload several CVs and A/B test which performs best; AI CV builder | Versions you create, not rewritten per job | Free plan; paid from €9.99/mo |
| Jobright | Yes, one click per job | Generates a tailored resume “in <1 min” per job; the Agent sends it and fills forms after one click | You start each application | Not on vendor page (reviewers report about $39.99/mo) |
| Teal | No (manual with AI help) | Compares your resume to a saved job description and suggests keywords and bullets; you apply | No auto-apply | Free; Teal+ $13/week or $29/30 days |
| AIApply | Yes (vendor claim) | “Creates a tailored resume and cover letter for each role” and submits automatically | Credit packs (e.g. 100 or 250) | Auto Apply from $49/mo (100 applications) |
Checked against each vendor’s own site or help center in September 2026. When a vendor does not say whether it rewrites the resume per job, we mark it “not documented.”
The useful split is between three behaviors. Some tools rewrite the resume for each job before submitting. Some generate a resume once (or let you keep a few versions) and reuse it. Others score your resume against a job and leave the edits to you.
How JobGPT does it
You give JobGPT your resume and job preferences once. When it finds a matching role, it tailors your resume to that specific job and writes a personalized cover letter before the application goes out. That happens on every application, including ones on company career pages and ATS forms beyond LinkedIn Easy Apply.
You do not need to open each posting or click anything per job. Plans run at 10-20 applications per day, and the Apex plan goes past 100. Each application appears on a Kanban-style board so you can see what was sent where.
JobGPT also sends recruiter and referral outreach from your own Gmail. You can start with 5 free applies, plans begin at $34.99/month, and credits never expire. Coverage includes the US, Canada and UK, plus 150+ other countries.
Real interviews, not claims
Every auto-apply tool claims it gets interviews. JobGPT is the only one on this list that publishes the interview emails. These are invitations that landed in users’ own inboxes after a JobGPT application and recruiter outreach, with names redacted:

We only see replies that arrive in the connected inbox. Interviews that come by phone or inside an ATS portal do not show up, so this is the floor, not the ceiling. The full feed has 35 at the time of writing, including HubSpot, MongoDB, Elastic, Box, Webflow and Klaviyo.
For opinions we do not control, see the Trustpilot reviews: one reviewer reported 41 applications and 5 interviews inside a week; another reported about 12 recruiter calls from 100 applications in a day. Their numbers, not ours.

Why it matters
Recruiters search their applicant tracking system before they read anything. In Jobscan’s 2025 survey of 384 recruiters, 99.7% said they use filters in their ATS to find candidates, and 76.4% start by filtering on skills (Jobscan State of the Job Search). If the skills a posting asks for are missing from your resume, you may never show up in those results.
Small wording choices count too. The same report found that candidates whose resume listed a job title matching the target title had an interview rate 10.6 times higher, and that including a cover letter raised interview rates 3.4 times.
One static resume can only match one version of the job you want. Titles, tools and required skills shift from posting to posting, even for the same role. Tailoring by hand works well for a handful of applications, and it gets hard to keep up at 10 or more a day, which is the gap auto-tailoring is meant to close.
Stop sending the same resume everywhere
Per-job resumes, cover letters and recruiter outreach, handled for you. Credits never expire.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobright tailor my resume for each job?
Yes, per job, with you starting each one. Jobright generates a tailored resume for a posting in under a minute, and its Agent says “one click and your resume goes out perfectly tailored.” Its autofill extension fills the form and you submit. See our Jobright alternatives roundup.
Does Teal tailor resumes automatically?
Not on its own. Teal compares your resume to a job description you save and suggests keywords and bullet points, and you decide what to change. Teal does not submit applications, so pair it with an auto-apply tool if you want both.
Is auto-tailoring resumes safe for ATS?
Generally yes, as long as the output stays accurate and uses a clean, simple layout that ATS parsers can read. The risk is overclaiming skills you don’t have, which can hurt you in the interview. Review a few tailored versions early on to check the tool’s judgment.
Does LoopCV tailor my resume for each job?
LoopCV focuses on A/B testing several CVs you upload to see which gets more responses. It does not document rewriting your resume for each job before applying. Our LoopCV review covers the rest.
Can ChatGPT tailor my resume for every job?
ChatGPT can rewrite a resume when you paste in the job description, one posting at a time. With the JobGPT MCP connector you can ask it to generate tailored resumes and trigger auto-apply from the chat. Our ChatGPT MCP guide shows how.
