Best AI Auto-Apply Tools 2026: Compared & Ranked

We ranked the 8 best AI auto-apply tools of 2026, including JobGPT, LazyApply, Simplify, LoopCV and Jobright, on volume, outreach, coverage and real pricing.

Last updated September 2026.

AI auto-apply tools promise to send job applications for you while you sleep. Some of them do that well. Others mostly fill out forms faster, and a few leave you babysitting a browser tab.

We compared eight of the most popular tools on job coverage, application quality, automation reliability, outreach and price. Every competitor price below was checked against the vendor’s own website in September 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a number, we say so instead of guessing.

How we compared: We scored each tool on five criteria: job coverage (sources beyond LinkedIn Easy Apply), application quality (tailored or generic), automation reliability (how much monitoring it needs), outreach (whether it contacts recruiters or referrals), and price for what you get. Rankings combine each vendor’s published pricing and feature pages as of September 2026 with recent user sentiment from Reddit and Trustpilot.

1. JobGPT

Best for: Job seekers in the US, Canada or UK who want applications and outreach handled together.

JobGPT finds matching roles, tailors your resume and cover letter for each one, and applies on your behalf, including on company career sites outside LinkedIn Easy Apply. It then emails recruiters and asks for referrals from your own Gmail account, which is the step most auto-apply tools leave to you.

  • Recruiter and referral outreach sent from your Gmail, so replies land in your inbox.
  • Coverage across the US, Canada, UK and 150+ countries, with the strongest job inventory in the US.
  • Credits never expire, and you can start with 5 free applies.

The trade-off: Default volume is 10-20 applications a day (100+ on the Apex plan), which is well below what LazyApply advertises. Each application is tailored first, so it looks slow if you only count applications sent. There is also no LinkedIn profile optimizer.

Price: From $34.99/month. Plans are Casual Hunter (100 credits), Active Hunter (200) and Apex Predator (400). Wondering if it is legit? Read our honest JobGPT review.

Real interviews, not claims

Every auto-apply tool claims it gets interviews. JobGPT is the only one on this list that publishes the interview emails. These are invitations that landed in users’ own inboxes after a JobGPT application and recruiter outreach, with names redacted:

ScaleAI interview invitation email for a Software Engineer role, received after a JobGPT application
ScaleAI, Software Engineer, interview 8 days after applying
Databricks interview invitation email for a Software Engineer role, received after a JobGPT application
Databricks, Software Engineer, interview 8 days after applying
HubSpot interview invitation email for a Software Engineer role, received after a JobGPT application
HubSpot, Software Engineer

We only see replies that arrive in the connected inbox. Interviews that come by phone or inside an ATS portal do not show up, so this is the floor, not the ceiling. The full feed has 35 at the time of writing, including HubSpot, MongoDB, Elastic, Box, Webflow and Klaviyo.

For opinions we do not control, see the Trustpilot reviews: one reviewer reported 41 applications and 5 interviews inside a week; another reported about 12 recruiter calls from 100 applications in a day. Their numbers, not ours.

Apply to jobs and reach recruiters on autopilot

JobGPT tailors each application and follows up with recruiters and referrals from your own Gmail. Start with 5 free applies.

2. LazyApply

Best for: Applicants who care most about how many applications go out each day.

LazyApply is built for volume. Its pricing page lists 15 applications a day on Basic, 150 on Premium and 1,500 on Ultimate, across boards like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Dice and Greenhouse. It has also added an AI cover letter generator and automated referral emails to employees at target companies.

Price: $99/year (Basic), $149/year (Premium), $999/year (Ultimate), billed annually. More detail in our LazyApply review.

3. Simplify

Best for: People who apply directly on company career pages and want to skip retyping the same details.

Simplify Copilot is a browser extension that fills in application forms in one click. Simplify says it works on more than 100,000 company career sites, and it logs each application in a free tracker. You still find the job, check the filled fields and press submit, so it is an autofill tool that saves time per application.

  • Pro: The core autofill and tracker are free.
  • Pro: Broad support for the ATS platforms big employers use.
  • Con: No automatic submission or outreach, so your volume is capped by your own time.

Price: Free. Simplify+ pricing is shown in the app rather than on a public pricing page, so see the vendor site. Read our Simplify review for the full breakdown.

4. Sonara

Best for: US job seekers who want a simple way to get matched and apply with little setup.

Sonara describes itself as an AI job search and auto-apply tool. You upload a resume, set preferences for titles and locations, and it surfaces matching jobs with an apply flow. It is one of the older names in the category, which is part of why it keeps showing up in recommendations.

  • Pro: Quick setup with a large US job feed.
  • Pro: Some reviewers report landing interviews within their first batch of applications.
  • Con: Users have reported irrelevant matches and failed submissions, and there is no recruiter or referral outreach.

Price: Sonara does not list pricing on a public page as of September 2026, so see the vendor site. Our Sonara review covers user feedback in detail.

5. LoopCV

Best for: Budget-conscious job seekers, especially in Europe, who want automated applying with recruiter emails.

LoopCV runs automated searches it calls “loops” and can either apply for you or send emails to hiring contacts it finds. Plans are capped by month: up to 10 applications or emails on the free plan, 100 on Standard and 300 on Premium. The Premium tier adds AI answers for screening questions and jobs sourced from company career pages.

  • Pro: A free-forever plan that actually auto-applies, with no credit card needed.
  • Pro: Built-in recruiter email finding and outreach.
  • Con: Some users report a big gap between jobs matched and applications actually submitted.

Price: Free, with paid plans from €9.99/month. See our LoopCV review.

6. Jobright

Best for: US job seekers who value strong job matching and help finding people to ask for referrals.

Jobright is an AI job search copilot with a large US job database, resume tailoring, one-click autofill and an “Agent” that it says can tailor your resume and apply for you. Its insider connections feature suggests employees at target companies, and you write and send those messages yourself.

  • Pro: Polished interface and well-regarded job matching.
  • Pro: Insider connections make referral hunting easier.
  • Con: Focused on the US, and some users report older listings shown as recently posted.

Price: Jobright does not publish job seeker pricing on a public page, so see the vendor site. We compare the two tools side by side in JobGPT vs Jobright.ai.

7. Teal

Best for: Job seekers who want a free resume builder and tracker and are happy to apply manually.

Teal is a job search workspace. It gives you a resume builder with unlimited versions, a job tracker, keyword matching against job descriptions and a Chrome extension that autofills application questions. It does not submit applications on your behalf, which is why it ranks low in an auto-apply list despite being a good product.

  • Pro: A generous free tier for resumes and tracking.
  • Pro: Flexible Teal+ billing, including a weekly option for short searches.
  • Con: No auto-apply and no outreach automation.

Price: Free. Teal+ costs $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days. Teal also appears in our best Jobright alternatives roundup. Read our full Teal review.

8. AIApply

Best for: People who want auto-apply credits bundled with resume, cover letter and interview practice tools.

AIApply started as an AI resume and cover letter suite and now includes Auto Apply. You upload a resume or LinkedIn profile, set roles and locations, and it sends tailored applications to matching jobs. Auto Apply runs on credits, where one credit equals one application, and AIApply’s help center says unused credits roll over only while you stay subscribed and are lost once a cancelled plan lapses.

  • Pro: Pay for application volume in packs instead of a daily quota.
  • Pro: Mock interviews and a resume scanner in the same account.
  • Con: Pricing is not listed publicly, and there is no recruiter or referral outreach.

Price: A limited free tier is available. Premium and credit pack prices are not published on a public page, so see the vendor site. Read our full AIApply review.

Why no Careerflow? We left it out because it does not auto-apply. If you want an organizer with LinkedIn profile tips instead, read our Careerflow review.

How to Choose the Right Auto-Apply Tool

You are on an H1B clock

You need interviews within a fixed window, and every application should reach a real person. Pick a tool that applies and also contacts recruiters for you. JobGPT fits this case, and you can filter for companies that sponsor visas.

You were recently laid off

Speed matters, but so does keeping your time free for interview prep. A hands-off tool with outreach (JobGPT) or a matching tool with insider connections (Jobright) will cover more ground than applying by hand.

You want the highest volume

LazyApply advertises up to 1,500 applications a day on its top plan. Keep your filters tight and check what it applied to, because volume without fit rarely turns into interviews.

You mostly apply on company career pages

Simplify’s free autofill saves the most clicks when you already know where you want to apply. Teal’s extension is a good alternative if you also want a resume builder.

You are on a tight budget

LoopCV’s free plan auto-applies to up to 10 jobs a month with no time limit, and paid plans start at €9.99/month. JobGPT’s 5 free applies let you test outreach before you pay anything.

On a deadline? Let JobGPT do the applying

Tailored applications, recruiter outreach and referral requests across the US, Canada, UK and 150+ countries. Credits never expire.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AI auto-apply tool in 2026?

JobGPT is the best overall AI auto-apply tool in 2026 for most job seekers. It applies beyond LinkedIn Easy Apply, tailors each application, and emails recruiters and referral contacts from your own Gmail. If you only care about raw volume, LazyApply advertises the highest daily limits.

Are auto-apply tools worth it or a scam?

The established tools in this list are real products that do submit applications, so they are not scams. Results vary a lot, though, and some users report refund or cancellation trouble. Start with a free tier or a money-back guarantee, and judge a tool by the interviews it produces.

What tool automatically applies to jobs for me?

JobGPT, LazyApply, LoopCV, AIApply and Jobright’s Agent all submit applications for you after you set your preferences. Simplify and Teal only autofill forms, so you still submit each one yourself.

What is the best free auto-apply tool?

LoopCV has the most generous ongoing free plan, with up to 10 automated applications or emails a month and no time limit. JobGPT gives you 5 free applies to test tailored applications and outreach. Simplify and Teal are free too, but they autofill rather than auto-apply.

Which auto-apply tool is best for H1B or laid-off workers?

JobGPT is the strongest fit when time is limited. It applies automatically, contacts recruiters and referral contacts for you, and covers the US, Canada, UK and 150+ countries if relocation is an option. That leaves your own hours for interview prep.

Can I use more than one tool?

Yes, and many job seekers do. A common setup is Teal or Simplify for roles you apply to by hand, plus one automated tool like JobGPT for volume and outreach. Avoid running two auto-apply tools on the same job boards, or you may apply to the same role twice.

Methodology and disclosure: Rankings reflect vendor pricing and feature pages checked in September 2026, plus recent user reviews on Reddit and Trustpilot. Where a vendor does not publish a price or volume, we list “see vendor site” rather than estimate. Prices and features change often, so confirm current details before you buy. This article is published by 6figr.com, which makes JobGPT, and we applied the same criteria to every tool.
