Wider Circle

Wider Circle is a community-focused health and social care organization founded in 2015 by Moshe Pinto and Darin Buxbaum. The organization is dedicated to improving health and independence among older adults through neighborhood-based peer support programs. Operating in over 320 communities and offering services in five languages, Wider Circle aims to enhance access to care and support through trusted, peer-led groups. The core service of Wider Circle is its neighborhood care program, which organizes members into groups based on shared interests and health conditions. These groups undergo a four- to six-week onboarding program to build relationships and develop self-sustaining support networks. After onboarding, members participate in local chapters that host social events, health workshops, and community activities. Wider Circle partners with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid health plans, as well as physician groups, to deliver its programs, focusing on low-income and underserved older adults managing chronic health conditions. The organization emphasizes peer-to-peer engagement to improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
