University St Thomas

The University of St. Thomas (UST) is a private Catholic university located in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. Founded in 1947 by the Basilian Fathers, it was the first coeducational undergraduate Catholic university in Texas. UST emphasizes a liberal arts education grounded in Judeo-Christian values and offers a variety of academic programs, including 36 undergraduate programs, 17 master's degree programs, and three doctoral programs in philosophy, ethical leadership, and nursing. UST serves a diverse student body of approximately 1,864 undergraduates and over 1,373 graduate students, welcoming individuals of all faiths.
