Syntel Inc. was a multinational provider of integrated technology and business services, founded in 1980 in metropolitan Detroit. The company initially focused on technology staffing solutions but evolved to offer custom-built IT solutions and digital transformation services across various industries, including banking, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. Syntel was known for pioneering the global delivery model, establishing its first Global Development Center in India in 1992. This approach combined offshore development with strong client partnerships, emphasizing innovation and customer satisfaction. The company offered services in application outsourcing, knowledge process outsourcing, e-business, and IT consulting through its TeamSourcing model. Syntel also developed proprietary platforms, such as the 'Syntellect' platform, to enhance automation and digital transformation for clients. In October 2018, Syntel was acquired by Atos SE, integrating its operations into Atos’s Business & Platform Solutions division. The Syntel brand continues to be promoted, particularly in the United States and India, where it had a significant presence.
