Save Foods

Save-On-Foods is a well-established Canadian supermarket chain, founded in 1915 by Robert C. Kidd in New Westminster, British Columbia. Originally known as the Overwaitea Food Group, the company gained recognition for its value-driven approach, including the sale of "overweight tea." The Save-On-Foods brand was launched in 1982, and over the years, most Overwaitea stores transitioned to this brand, with the last two making the switch in 2018. Today, Save-On-Foods operates under the Jim Pattison Group and has expanded its reach beyond British Columbia and Alberta into Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon. The supermarket offers a comprehensive range of grocery services, including fresh produce, meats, dairy, and packaged goods. Save-On-Foods also features private label products, providing affordable alternatives to national brands. The company is dedicated to supporting local communities, carrying over 2,500 locally-made products from more than 2,000 local producers. With 187 stores across several provinces, Save-On-Foods emphasizes customer value and convenience, along with a loyalty program called More Rewards that offers discounts and rewards for shoppers.
