Freeman Health System

Freeman Health System is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Joplin, Missouri, serving a four-state region. Established in 1922 by John W. Freeman, it has become the largest employer in the Joplin area, with over 3,000 employees and more than 350 physicians across 90 specialties. The system operates three hospitals, including Freeman West, which is the largest with 339 beds, and two urgent care clinics. Freeman Health System provides a wide range of medical services, including cancer care, heart and vascular care, neurology, orthopaedics, and pediatric services. It is the only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital within a 70-mile radius, highlighting its commitment to children's health.
