Vitesco Technologies was an international developer and manufacturer of advanced drive systems and components for sustainable powertrains in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and two-wheelers. The company focused on electrification, hybrid, and combustion technologies. It originated from Continental AG's Powertrain division and was rebranded in 2019. Vitesco Technologies was headquartered in Regensburg, Germany, and operated around 50 sites worldwide, employing nearly 37,000 people. The company specialized in components and systems for various powertrains, including 48-volt electrification, electric drive units, electronic controls, sensors, and turbochargers. Its Powertrain Solutions division included business units for actuation, hydraulics, and sensorics, covering a wide range of automotive technologies. Vitesco Technologies served global automotive OEMs, producing components for millions of vehicles annually. In October 2024, it merged into Schaeffler AG, enhancing its capabilities in powertrain and electrification technologies.
