Sonic

Sonic Drive-In is a fast-food restaurant chain that began in Shawnee, Oklahoma, in 1953. Founded by Troy N. Smith Sr., it started as a walk-up root beer stand and evolved into a drive-in restaurant featuring a speaker system for ordering and carhops for delivery. This innovative model laid the foundation for Sonic's growth and popularity. Sonic is known for its quick service and diverse menu, which includes signature burgers like the SuperSONIC Bacon Cheeseburger, hot dogs such as the Chili Cheese Coney, and a variety of sandwiches and salads. They also offer all-day breakfast items, refreshing drinks like slushes and milkshakes, and classic sides including fries and onion rings. The chain targets families and individuals seeking convenient and affordable meal options, emphasizing the ease of their drive-in service. Today, Sonic Drive-In is one of the largest fast-food chains in the U.S., with numerous locations and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
