Seqwater
Seqwater is a statutory authority of the Queensland Government and one of Australia's largest water businesses, managing over $10 billion in water supply assets. Established in 2007, Seqwater consolidates bulk water management for over 3 million residents across South East Queensland, from Gympie to the New South Wales border. The organization provides bulk water supply through 25 dams, 47 weirs, and 46 water treatment plants, delivering approximately 90% of the region's drinking water. Seqwater also operates a network of 600 km of bulk water pipelines and manages the Western Corridor Recycling Scheme, one of Australia's largest water recycling projects. In addition to supplying treated drinking water and irrigation water to agricultural customers, Seqwater focuses on water security, flood mitigation, and catchment management to protect water quality.
