NOVATEK is Russia's largest independent natural gas producer and the second-largest overall, founded in 1994. The company is based in Moscow and primarily operates in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region, a key area for natural gas production in Russia. NOVATEK is recognized as the seventh-largest publicly traded natural gas producer globally by volume. The company focuses on the exploration, production, processing, and marketing of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. It operates 26 fields and has significant reserves, holding 17.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent as of December 31, 2024. NOVATEK is also a major player in liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, with projects like Yamal LNG and Arctic LNG 2 facilitating exports to global markets. Its processing facilities produce a range of products, including stable gas condensate, liquefied petroleum gas, naphtha, jet fuel, and heating oil. NOVATEK serves a diverse customer base, including domestic end consumers, wholesale suppliers, and international traders.
