Elroy Air

Elroy Air is a San Francisco-based aerospace startup founded in November 2016 by David Merrill and Clint Cope. The company specializes in developing autonomous cargo aircraft systems, focusing on its flagship product, the Chaparral. This vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned cargo aircraft features a hybrid-electric powertrain and is designed to carry between 300 to 500 pounds of cargo over distances of up to 300 miles. Elroy Air has conducted extensive research and testing since its inception, achieving significant milestones such as the Chaparral's first hover flight in August 2019.
