Convertus Group is a North American leader in organic waste management, specializing in full-cycle services for the treatment and processing of organic waste. Founded in 2019 through the merger of Renewi Canada and WTT, and backed by Convent Capital, Convertus has grown to operate 19 facilities across Canada and the United States, employing over 350 people. The company provides comprehensive solutions, including the design, construction, operation, and servicing of sustainable organic waste treatment facilities. Convertus collaborates with municipalities and commercial businesses to divert organic waste from landfills, converting it into valuable resources like biogas, renewable natural gas, compost, fertilizers, and mulches. Their facilities process over 900,000 tonnes of organic waste annually, producing significant amounts of renewable energy and finished compost. Convertus also offers branded bagged compost products, expanding into the consumer market through its acquisition of Envirem Organics. Their mission focuses on promoting environmental sustainability and resource conservation by transforming organic waste into renewable energy and soil-enhancing products.
