Barry University

Barry University is a private Catholic university located in Miami Shores, Florida. Founded in 1940 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, it is one of the largest Catholic universities in the Southeast. The university operates under the Archdiocese of Miami and has a strong connection to the Dominican Order. Barry University offers a main campus that spans 122 acres, along with a branch campus in Tallahassee and a law school in Orlando. The university provides over 100 degree programs, including bachelor's to doctoral degrees across various fields such as Nursing, Business, and Podiatric Medicine. As of spring 2021, Barry University had around 7,401 students and a dedicated faculty of 303 full-time and 780 part-time members. The university is also active in athletics, competing in NCAA Division II as the Buccaneers.
