Axiom Space

Axiom Space is a private space infrastructure company based in Houston, Texas, founded in 2016 by Dr. Kam Ghaffarian and Michael T. Suffredini. The company focuses on developing commercial space stations and providing human spaceflight services, with the goal of making low Earth orbit (LEO) accessible to a wide range of customers, including governments, researchers, and private individuals. Axiom's leadership team includes former NASA officials and astronauts, bringing extensive expertise in space operations. Axiom Space aims to operate the world’s first modular commercial space station by the late 2020s, building on its experience with the International Space Station (ISS). The company has successfully conducted commercial crewed missions, such as Axiom Mission 1, which sent private astronauts to the ISS in April 2022. Axiom offers services including crewed missions to the ISS, development of space station modules, and support for in-space research and manufacturing, making it easier for customers to utilize microgravity for scientific and commercial purposes.
