AMC Theatres

AMC Theatres is the world's largest movie theater chain, with over 900 locations worldwide. Founded in 1920 by the Dubinsky brothers in Kansas City, Missouri, the company originally operated as Durwood Theatres before rebranding to American Multi-Cinema (AMC) in 1968. AMC has a rich history of innovation, including the introduction of the first multiplex theater and the addition of cupholder armrests for customer comfort. AMC offers a variety of theater formats, including standard auditoriums for first-run films and premium options like IMAX® and Dolby Cinema® for enhanced viewing experiences. The company also features AMC Prime® with reclining seats and superior audio. Their loyalty program, AMC Stubs®, provides rewards and discounts to frequent moviegoers. Under the leadership of CEO Adam Aron, AMC is focused on recovering from pandemic challenges and expanding its presence in both the U.S. and select international markets.
